Brooklyn Bedding vs Leesa

Brooklyn Bedding and Leesa are two companies that have seen a lot of growth recently for their online mattress sales. Brooklyn Bedding has created their own adjustable base while Leesa has started to create their own lines of pillows .

Both Brooklyn Bedding and Leesa have quickly become two of the more recognizable mattress companies out there. Each has their own unique selling points, but they both stand out because of the fact that you can only purchase their mattress online. This business model has had a huge impact on their success.

Let’s take a look at two competitors that started at the same time — Brooklyn Bedding and Leesa — and see what they have in common. They both saw an opportunity to provide an alternative solution to consumers by eliminating traditional retail stores. This eliminated the high cost associated with operating brick-and-mortar stores, which were passed along to the consumer. As a result, these bed-in-a-box companies are able to provide a high-quality product at an affordable price.

There are a few key differences between the two mattresses, and I believe most people will be able to choose between Brooklyn Bedding and Leesa once they understand them. There’s no need to be concerned about this decision because they’re both excellent mattresses. Let’s compare these mattresses to see which one is the best fit for you!

  • Both have a business model and value proposition that are similar.
  • Both mattresses are all-foam (no springs), and they are the same height (10′′).
  • Both companies are known for their customer service and offer free shipping and delivery in a box.
  • Customers will appreciate the sleep trial and return policies.
  • Leesa is $140 more costly (although with a discount, this difference is smaller)
  • Leesa offers only one firmness option, while Brooklyn Bedding offers three.
  • Brooklyn Bedding’s comfort layer is all latex, while Leesa uses Avena foam over memory foam.
  • Brooklyn Bedding has a little more bounce and resilience.
  • You Want Firmness Options– There are three firmness options available from Brooklyn Bedding. I believe Leesa will be a good firmness fit for the majority of people, but if you know you want something extra soft or extra firm, check out Brooklyn Bedding’s extra firmness options.
  • You Want More Resilience- The Brooklyn Bedding mattress is bouncy and resilient in comparison to the Leesa. While this may appear to be beneficial to some, it does have some disadvantages, such as increased motion transfer. If you want more bounce, the #bestmattressever is the way to go.

You Want To Save A Bit More– Even with available discounts, the Brooklyn Bedding mattress is at least $50-75 less expensive. If you’re shopping on a tight budget, this could be a problem.

  • You Aren’t Overly Light Or Heavy- Leesa offers one firmness option that should suit people who aren’t excessively light or heavy. If a person’s sleeping preferences are average, they are unlikely to require additional firmness options.

You Want A More Balanced Feel- The Leesa, in my opinion, has a more balanced feel because it combines memory foam and latex qualities into one mattress. People will take it in a little bit, but not too much. It has a slight bounce to it, but not excessively so. Leesa is a good option for people who want a more balanced feeling.

Construction/Feel

The Leesa mattress is made up of two inches of Avena foam (a latex-like foam), two inches of 3 pound density memory foam, and six inches of 1.8 pound density polyfoam.

2” of talalay latex, over 2” of dunlop latex, and over 6” of high-density polyfoam make up the Brooklyn Bedding #bestmattressever.

While both mattresses have a latex layer, the big difference is in regards to the comfort layers. Brooklyn Bedding has all-latex on top of a soft foam base, while Leesa has Avena foam over memory foam. Avena is much similar to latex in that it offers some bounce and it also contours to your body. Leesa hopes to get the best of both worlds by having a memory foam layer.

It had a very balanced feel to it that conformed well to my body without feeling overly bouncy in my opinion. Brooklyn Bedding had a lot more bounce to it. I haven’t had a chance to test either mattress for a long time. However, based on the material specifications, I believe the Brooklyn Bedding will be more long-lasting. I would look into this further if you plan on keeping your mattress for an extended period of time.

Price

The Brooklyn Bedding costs $750 for a Queen, but people can usually get an additional 5% off.

The Leesa Queen costs $890, but because people can almost always find a good deal, the price difference between these two isn’t as significant as it appears.

Final Recommendation

These are two fantastic choices, and I believe they’ve both been extremely successful for a reason. I don’t think anyone can go wrong with either, but I think it’s pretty easy to choose between them if you know your own preferences. In my Leesa mattress review and Brooklyn Bedding review, you can learn more about each.

Consumers should read this article several times to better understand their needs and preferences, and then make a more informed decision.
